Events Warehouse Gives Back To Cancer Children Survivors

Events Warehouse in partnership with Uganda Cancer Institute organized the first Hope for Children Cancer Survivor's Camp that happened at the International School of Uganda on Saturday 26th August 2017. The charity event which gathered together doctors, nurses, health workers, rotarians, interactors, parents, students, well wishers and friends aimed at celebrating children who have survived cancer.

'This is a good way of giving back to these children who for a big part of their lives have struggling with this and seeing them happy and celebrating gives us nothing but joy that we can actually reach out to them,' said Peter Kagwa, Managing Director at Events Warehouse. The event was also graced by students from the Interact Club of Kabojja International School who took off part of their busy school schedule to play and have a good time with the children as they engaged them through various activities and games.

Dr. Lubega from Uganda Cancer Institute expressed his appreciation towards everyone who had made the day a success and added more life to the children that day. A moment was also taken to remember the little ones who unfortunately didn't make through after finding out they had cancer and lost the battle to cancer.

This camp is to be held annually and all well wishers are welcome to support both in kind or in service. Visit the Events Warehouse Facebook page for more photos from the event!
